March Fashion Week

AFWME premiered its first Fashion Week Edition at Gate Village DIFC from March 15-17th, 2023. A 3-Day event that merged Community activation through Panel Discussion Event, Runway Shows for Six African Fashion Designers and Live Presentation Workshop by a local artist; followed by a networking closing party. Throughout the 3-Days, participating designers, panellists from various industries, invited VIPs, African Celebrities and Editorial teams, mingled and celebrated the unique offerings of AFWME – a One of Kind platform in the entire Middle East market. In collaboration with Dubai Economy & Tourism, we hosted Seven African editorial teams from various Pan-African media houses who extended coverage and interview opportunities to our designers & founders.Communities from various backgrounds came together to witness the first showing of Africa’s creative talents in Dubai at such a breathtaking ambience and setting.We welcomed 350 guests across the 3-Days, garnered over 500 press coverage and Social Media mentions, received multiple interests from Talents and built networks with collaborators! As AFWME continues its journey into the world of the Metaverse, guests were able to share the excitement of discovering different designers in our immersive Metaverse showrooms and explore collections from five designers.
